Parker-Gutiérrez 93 Punkte: There is a non-DO, old-vine Garnacha sourced from different plots in the villages of Alarba and Acered in Calatayud, fermented outside the appellation, called 2013 En Sus Trece. It's produced with fruit from plots at 1,000 to 1,100 meters altitude on slate soils, fermented in open-top concrete vats and bottled unoaked after being aged on the lees in underground concrete tanks for some 20 months. Some of the old vineyards have some Moristel grapes interplanted with the Garnacha. It has an explosive aromatic nose of flowers and Mediterranean herbs, but with great freshness, elegance and poise. The palate is vibrant and superbly balanced, with a fine thread of acidity going through its core and a clear mineral sensation in the texture. It finishes long and tasty. This is a superb unoaked Garnacha. It feels very young and should develop nicely in bottle, with the subtlety and sleekness provided by time. 12,000 bottles produced.
Rebsorte: 100% Garnacha (75-100 Jahre alte Reben)
